Even if you have a piano at home, your young musician will need a portable keyboard to bring to school each week for the music lesson. Whatever model you choose, it must work on batteries and be easily transportable from home to school and back. And don’t be concerned about size as some of the keyboards are actually smaller and lighter to carry than a guitar or trumpet.

We proudly present Drum Circle Class. Students learn about African, Japanese and Native American drumming beats as well as “grooving” to contemporary songs. Later in the year, students will add the use of numerous other percussion instruments to create more complicated rhythms. The class also includes a few minutes each week of simple mindfulness activities to promote listening skills, patience and teamwork—a winning combination for children of all ages.
