The Seeds UES Instrumental
Music Program is provided as a regular part of the school’s
instructional program.
Larry Newman is the music director. Mandy
Fey and Debbie Klak are music teaching specialists.
There is no
additional fee or charge for the music lessons. However, some non-instructional
costs may include music books, music supplies and the purchase, lease
or rental of the musical instrument.
Students receive instruction
one day per week on the instrument of their choice.
Classes are for beginners as well as students with some previous
experience.
Classes are held before school, Monday through
Friday, from 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM in Community Hall.
Yard supervision has been arranged
for car pool members who are not involved in music class from
7:45 AM.
A gala spring concert is scheduled for Friday, May
1, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the renowned Schoenberg Concert Hall Auditorium
on the UCLA campus.
