FIRST GRADE MUSIC CLASSES
First graders may take either the violin or African Drumming class.

Both choices are a great first time introduction to music making for young students. Violins are fit to size the student (1/8 and 1/4 violins are most common for first graders). Space is limited so please sign-up ASAP to reserve a spot.

GRADES TWO THROUGH SIX CLASSES
Second graders may choose violin, flute, clarinet, trumpet or African drumming.

Third through sixth graders may choose guitar, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, baritone horn or African drumming.

Classes begin the first week of October. Classes run through the school year, culminating with a school orchestra concert in June 2011.

A one-time music fee of $410 is requested to help cover the instructional costs of this year’s instrumental music program.

This fee includes all music, books and basic supplies which your child is given.

The only other expense will be the lease, rental or purchase of the instrument. Recorders are provided free with enrollment.

Through special arrangements with a local music retailer, instruments are available for purchase, rent or lease-to-own at up to 45% off the retail price for participating music students.

Visit www.stringseason.com/cmw for more information and to place your order for delivery to school in time for the first lesson.
