St. Paul the Apostle Instrumental Music Program

The 2017 – 2018 St. Paul the Apostle Instrumental Music Program is open to all students in grades Kindergarten through six.

Weekly classes are offered for 30 to 40 minutes each Thursday after school. The program is directed by Larry Newman and taught by the faculty members of Children’s Music Workshop.

Instrument Choices
• Kindergarten and first graders may only choose the violin.
• Second graders may choose violin or cello.
• Third, fourth and fifth graders may choose violin, cello, ukulele, flute, clarinet, alto sax or trumpet.

This is a year long program. Classes begin Thursday, October 5, 2017 culminating with a school orchestra concert on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 4:00 PM.

Thirty to forty minute small group lessons will be held each Thursday after school between 3:05 PM and 5:00 PM. Please keep that time block free on Thursdays. This flexibility in scheduling will allow us to create classes best suited for the enrollment.  To help you plan, please know that Kinder and first graders will have the earliest lessons – immediately after dismissal time.  Older and more advanced classes will have the later times.

The exact lesson schedule will be determined when enrollment is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

After school supervision for students waiting to take their lesson is available.  Contact the school to arrange if needed. The final schedule of classes will be emailed to all applicants about a week before classes begin.
