The Laurence School Instrumental
Music Program is open to all students
in grades Kindergarten through six.
The program is directed by Larry Newman. Desiree' Deasy and Carissa Gibson are the music teacher specialists.
is available each Thursday on ukulele, violin, cello, recorder, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, and p-Bone mini.
Kinder and first graders may choose violin or recorder.
Second graders may choose ukulele, violin, flute, clarinet, trumpet and p-Bone mini.
Third graders and up may choose, ukulele, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, and p-Bone mini.
Weekly classes are offered on Thursdays beginning October 2, 2014 as follows:
1:30 PM Orchestra level classes
2:15 PM Kindergarten classes
2:55 PM - 5:00 PM*
Beginning and intermediate level classes *The exact time of your after school lesson will be announced after enrollment
is complete. Please keep the 3-5PM time block open when registering for the program. This flexibility allows us to create appropriate groupings for our specific enrollment. You will be informed of your lesson time the week of September 29. We apologize for any inconvenience that this delay in announcing class times may cause. After school care is available for students waiting to take their lesson.
Classes run through
the school year beginning on Thursday, October 2, 2104 with a gala year-end concert on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
The instructional cost for the year of lessons is $495. In addition, a $25 music supply fee covers all books, sheet music and basic supplies which your child is given. The only other expense is the rental, lease or purchase of an instrument.
