The Laurence School Instrumental
Music Program is open to all students
in grades Kindergarten through six.
The program is directed by Larry
Newman. Laura Ryan and Desiree’ Deasy
are the music specialists.
Instruction
is available on violin, cello, recorder, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet
and baritone horn.
Kinder and first graders may choose violin or recorder. (See Kinder video below.)
Second graders may choose guitar, violin, flute, clarinet and trumpet.
Third graders and up may choose guitar, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet and baritone horn.
Weekly classes are offered for 30 to 40
minutes each Wednesday.
Instruction is offered during the regular school day beginning on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 and runs through
the school year with a gala year-end concert on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 3:45 PM.

2:15 - Guitar
A music fee of $450 for the 2012-2013 school year is requested
from each participant. This fee includes weekly lessons and all music, books and basic
supplies which your child is given. In addition, there is a $20
Laurence School administrative fee. The only other expense will be
the lease, rental or purchase of the instrument.

Class size is limited and priority is given to
the earliest applicants. Please complete the online application
