Second graders may choose the violin, recorder,
flute, clarinet, or trumpet.
Third through fifth graders may choose the violin,
cello, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, baritone horn, or trombone.
No musical experience is required to enroll in a beginning class.
Instruction runs from Tuesday, October 2, 2012 through the 2012-2013 school year, culminating with
a school orchestra concert in May 2013.
The orchestra program requires a one year commitment and regular
home practice.
A one-time annual fee of $495 is requested from each
participant to cover weekly instruction (October 2012 through May 2013). This fee includes all music, books
and basic supplies which your child is given.
The only other expense will be the lease, rental or purchase
of the instrument. (Recorders are provided free with enrollment.)
Thirty to forty minute classes are offered each Tuesday after
school (early dismissal day) beginning on October 2.
Please have the after school time available from 1:45 - 4:30
PM. The exact time of your lesson will be announced after enrollment
is compete. To help you plan, the beginning classes are usually
held earlier than the intermediate and advanced classes.
Through special arrangements with a local music retailer, instruments
are available for purchase, rent or lease-to-own at up to 45%
off the retail price for participating music students.
