The Clover Ave. School Instrumental Music Program is open to all students in grades one through five.
The program is directed by Larry Newman and classes are taught by the outstanding faculty of Children’s Music Workshop.
Weekly classes are offered for 30 – 40 minutes each Monday after school beginning on Monday, September 22, 2014.
INTRODUCTORY STUDENT ASSEMBLY
Students will be introduced to the program with live performances of the instruments on Friday, August 22 in the school auditorium.
1:00-1:30 Grades 1 and 5
1:30 – 2:00 Grade 3
2:00 – 2:30 Grades 2 and 4
First graders may only choose the violin.
Second graders may choose the violin, flute, clarinet, p-Bone mini and trumpet.
Third, fourth and fifth graders may choose the violin, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, p-Bone mini, baritone horn or trombone.
Classes are for beginning students with no prior experience on their chosen instrument as well as for students with prior lessons and experience.
Thirty to forty minute classes will take place on Mondays between the hours of 2:40 and 5:30 PM beginning on Monday, September 22. The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete.
Please clear your child’s schedule on Mondays from 2:40 – 5:30 PM so that he/she is available for their particular lesson time when it is announced. (First grade violin class will be offered immediately following dismissal at 2:40 PM.)
Music Instructional Fees
A music fee of $520 is requested from each participant. This fee includes all music, books and basic supplies which your child is given for the entire 2014-15 school year of music lessons.
The only other expense will be the lease, rental or purchase of the instrument.
FREE MUSIC TUITION and RENTAL
A parent volunteer is needed to proctor the students waiting to take their lesson on Mondays. If you are available every Monday from 2:40 – 4:30 PM to help, please email Mr. Newman. Parent volunteers receive a full tuition waiver and free instrument rental.

Class size is limited and priority is given to the earliest applicants. Please complete the online application to reserve a spot.
