4-leaf-clover The Clover Ave. School Instrumental Music Program 

The 2015 – 2016 Clover Ave. School Instrumental Music Program is open to all students in grades one through five.

The program is directed by Larry Newman and classes are taught by Mandy Fey and Bianca Samaniego of Children’s Music Workshop.

Weekly classes are offered for 30 – 40 minutes each Monday after school beginning on Monday, September 21, 2015.

Introductory Student Assembly
Students will be introduced to the program with live performances of the instruments on Friday, August 28, 2015 in the school auditorium.
1:00-1:30 Grades 1 and 5
1:30 – 2:00 Grade 3
2:00 – 2:30 Grades 2 and 4

• First graders may only choose the violin.
• Second graders may choose the violin, flute, clarinet, pBone mini and trumpet.
• Third, fourth and fifth graders may choose the violin, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, pBone mini, baritone horn or trombone.

Classes are for beginning students with no prior experience on their chosen instrument as well as for students with prior lessons and experience.

Thirty to forty minute classes will take place on Mondays between the hours of 2:40 and 5:30 PM beginning on Monday, September 22. The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete.

Please clear your child’s schedule on Mondays from 2:40 – 5:30 PM so that he/she is available for their particular lesson time when it is announced. (First grade violin class will be offered immediately following dismissal at 2:40 PM.)

Music Instructional Fees
An instructional fee of $500 is requested from each participant to cover the entire 2015 – 2016 school year of weekly music lessons. Additionally, a $35 music fee covers all music, books and basic supplies which your child is given throughout the year.

The only other expense will be the lease, rental or purchase of the instrument. Instruments are available for up to 45% off the retail price for participating music students through our instrument supplier. Order online now and get free delivery to school for the first lesson. Free Music Tuition and Instrument Rental
A parent volunteer is needed to proctor the students waiting to take their lesson on Mondays. If you are available every Monday from 2:40 – 4:30 PM to help, please email Mr. Newman. Parent volunteers receive a full tuition waiver and free instrument rental. (This position has been filled but we are taking names for a wait list if needed.)
