School Instrumental Music Program is open to all students from grade one and higher.
The award winning Children's Music Workshop program is directed by Larry Newman. Classes are taught by Amanda Fuerst and Hillary Thomas.
Weekly classes are offered for 30 - 40 minutes each
Monday after school beginning on Monday, October 1, 2012.
First graders may only choose the violin.
Second and third graders may choose the violin, flute, clarinet
or trumpet.
Fourth grade and higher may choose the violin, flute,
clarinet, alto sax, trumpet or baritone horn.
Classes
are for beginning students with no prior experience on their chosen
instrument as well as for students with prior lessons and experience.
Small group instruction (6 to 12 students) will take place on Mondays between the hours of 3:15 and 5:45 PM beginning on Monday, October 1, 2012 and concluding with a school orchestra concert in June 2013. The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete.
Please clear your child's schedule on Mondays from
3:15 - 5:45 PM so that he/she is available for their particular
lesson time when it is announced.
Music Instructional Fees
A music fee of $150 is requested from each participant.
This fee includes all music, books and basic supplies which
your child is given for the entire 2012-13 school year of music lessons (October 2012 through June 2013).
The only other expense will be
the lease, rental or purchase of the instrument.
